Who gets shingles and is under 60? No one, except for me!
It was bearable until now. My nerves are now constantly firing pain signals, even in areas of the skin that haven’t been affected :’(

I just got back from my cousin Jack’s wedding in New York. It was beautiful, taking place in loft on Long Island City. I got to hang out with my family, and I had a great time seeing the sites. Oh yeah, I had another celebrity siting: while walking down Broadway I saw Norah Jones. She was walking up the street, all by her lonesome. Even though she had a tennis cap on and was dressed down I couldn’t miss those big eyes and the trademark booty…yummy. I also got a chance to party it up with Janice, a friend from Queen’s (University, that is) — what an eye opener that was.
All in all, I had an awesome time. Here are some pics:
I’ve been a vegetarian for over 15 years now. However, I don’t think I know a single vegetarian in Toronto. Whenever I suggest trying out a vegetarian restaurant to my friends, they immediately dismiss the idea as blasphemy. It’s quite frustrating.
Until now, I’ve never thought of actively seeking out other vegetarians. After snooping around a bit last week, I’ve come across 2 online resources for vegetarians:
I’ve also found a social group within the Toronto Vegetarian Association that meets every month or so. The first gathering I’ll be attending is the TVA’s annual Vegetarian Food Fair, which I’m ashamed to say I’ve never been to even though I’ve lived in Toronto for 5 years already. Anyone else wanna join me?
I was walking up Yonge street from work yesterday, and all these froshies from either Ryerson or U of T were walking down the street. I then realized — it’s been a whole 10 years since I first arrived at Queen’s. Time flies by so fast and I feel so old, even though in reality it’s not that bad.
