Raptors lose…again.

Just got back from the Raptors game against the Dallas Mavericks. It was a thoroughly entertaining game, but it ended with us losing the game at the buzzer. This is totally the best of both worlds: we get to see an exciting product without costing us ping pong balls from next year’s draft.

The funniest moment for me was when the ball flew out of bounds to some guy in the crowd. With ref was asking for the ball back, the dude throws it to him. It hits the basketball post instead. After recovering the ball, the ref gives a “what the hell was that?” look at the guy. The other referee joins in, and the crowd in the whole area just cracks up. That guy must have been so embarrassed. You had to be there.

On another note, I was having dinner with some friends last night. Right after we are seated, my friend gives me this look. I’m like, “what?!”. She glances over to the side and I see two guys, obviously gay, just STARING at me. It was kind of flattering, but more creepy. If you’re going to check someone out so obviously, the LEAST you can do is come of and say something (not that I wanted them to). There were two knocks against them: 1) they were dudes, and 2) they were ugly.

Why can’t attractive females do that to me?

Man I’m tired…

My cousin, his new wife, her sister and her cousin, came up from NY this weekend for a belated wedding celebration as many relatives couldn’t make it to the wedding a couple months ago, due to Grandma passing. On Saturday we went to the Distillery, checking out the condo we’ve invested in together, then walked around on Queen St. for a bit. Had brunch at at cute bookstore/cafe called the Tequila Bookworm.

Then I went for an outing with some fellow vegetarians I’ve met over the ‘net. We went to the Yoga Sanctuary for my first ever Yoga class. It was relaxing, while a workout at the same time. My hamstrings are still sore!

In the evening, I went out to the Friendster party at York Event Theatre. I don’t even know why I go to these things anymore — it makes me feel so old. I swear, I’m swearing off asian clubbing from now on!

I just got back from the Raptors game against Seattle — sure we’re still winless, but boy this was a fun game to watch. The young rookies came to play and we forced overtime. I’m looking forward to seeing this team develop, as we have a lot of young talent.

Now it’s time to crash.
